Spok
No viene en una nave intergaláctica, sino de Brasil. Se llama (o se hace llamar) Spok y su instrumento es el saxofón. En su nuevo trabajo, “Raízes”, experimenta con las raíces afrobrasileñas, junto con otras sonoridades, rítmicas y energías que palpitan por todo el país. A este empeño se suman, entre otros artistas, Chico César, Zeca Baleiro o, en las piezas que escuchamos, Lenine y Maciel Melo.
He does not arrive in an intergalactic spaceship, but from Brazil. His name is (or he calls himself) Spok, and his instrument is the saxophone. In his new album, “Raízes”, he experiments with Afro-Brazilian roots, together with other sounds, rhythms and energies pulsating throughout the country. Joining him in this endeavour are, among other artists, Chico César, Zeca Baleiro and, on the tracks we listen to, Lenine and Maciel Melo.
