El klezmer es una música nacida entre las comunidades judías de Europa central y oriental que viajó a los Estados Unidos con las grandes migraciones de finales del XIX y principios del XX. A partir de 1986, The Klezmatics han catalizado la escena klezmer de Nueva York, celebrando ahora su 40 aniversario con una serie de reediciones y la publicación de un nuevo álbum: “We were made for these times”.

Klezmer is a musical tradition born among the Jewish communities of Central and Eastern Europe that travelled to the United States with the great migrations of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Since 1986, The Klezmatics have been a driving force in the New York klezmer scene. They are now celebrating their 40th anniversary with a series of reissues and the release of a new album: “We Were Made for These Times”.
