Ellos son Neba Solo y Benego Diakité, tañedores, respectivamente, del xilófono balafón y el arpa donsongoni, a la vez que representantes de las culturas senufo y donso, de agricultores y cazadores. Sus mundos y sus músicas se encuentran en este disco que el sello Nonesuch publica exactamente el mismo día de emisión de este programa.
“A djinn and a hunter went walking”: that is the title of the joint album by these two Malian artists, a project that has been taking shape for more than a decade. They are Neba Solo and Benego Diakité, players respectively of the balafon xylophone and the donsongoni harp, as well as representatives of the Senufo and Donso cultures—of farmers and hunters. Their worlds and their music come together on this record, which the label Nonesuch is releasing on the very same day this program is broadcast.
