Wishamalii

Wishamalii es un trío formado en Finlandia que reúne artistas de orígenes palestino-jordanos, etíopes y finlandeses. Su pianista y teclista, Kari Ikonen, utiliza un ingenioso sistema de su invención para adaptar la afinación del piano a los «maqamat», los modos de la música árabe, llamado «maqiano». Wishamalii is a trio formed in Finland that brings together artists of Palestinian-Jordanian, Ethiopian and Finnish origins. Their pianist and keyboard player, Kari Ikonen, uses an ingenious system of his invention to adapt the tuning of the piano to the maqamat, the modes of Arabic music, called “maqiano”.
