Festival Arabesques
Desde ayer y hasta el domingo 20 de septiembre se está desarrollando en Montpellier, en el sur de Francia, en Occitania, la XXI edición del Festival Arabesques, que reúne artistas de raíz o procedencia árabe y otras conectadas en una cita que no solo propone música, sino también otras actividades culturales, así como iniciativas sociales y solidarias. Este año se presenta como novedad la primera edición del Arabesques Music Forum, una iniciativa abierta al público que reunirá a artistas, programadores y divulgadores del área mediterránea, presentando un nutrido conjunto de actuaciones y conversaciones. Nos acompañan musicalmente la argelina Souad Massi y el proyecto franco-marroquí Samifati & Transe Gnawa Express.
Since yesterday and until Sunday, September 20, the 21st edition of the Arabesques Festival is taking place in Montpellier, in the south of France, in Occitania, bringing together artists of Arab roots or origin and others connected to them in an event that offers not only music, but also other cultural activities, as well as social and solidarity initiatives. This year, a new feature is the first edition of the Arabesques Music Forum, an initiative open to the public that will bring together artists, programmers and cultural communicators from the Mediterranean area, presenting a substantial programme of performances and conversations. Providing the music are Algerian Souad Massi and the Franco-Moroccan project Samifati & Transe Gnawa Express.
