Escuchamos música que sonará en la Fira Mediterrània de Manresa, el WOMEX de Budapest y el concierto del sirio Omar Souleyman en Madrid: tres eventos de los que Mundofonías es medio colaborador. We listen to some music that will be present at Fira Mediterrània de Manresa, WOMEX in Budapest and Syrian Omar Souleyman‘s concert in Madrid: three events of which Mundofonías is media partner. And also some other new releases and delicacies, like the new albums of Castilians Vigüela (not released yet) and Valencian Carles Dénia.

Escuchamos los tres discos favoritos de septiembre, a cargo de la recientemente fallecida artista saharaui Mariem Hassan y su inseparable compañera Vadiya Mint el Hanevi, los turcos Kardeş Türküler y los chipriotas Monsieur Doumani y, a continuación, un buen número de novedades y sugerencias orientales.

We meet the three September favorite albums, by the late Mariem Hassan and Vadiya Mint el Hanevi (Western Sahara), Kardeş Türküler (Turkey) and Monsieur Doumani (Cyprus) and, to continue, a lot of new releases and suggestions with oriental flavor.

A partir de este mes arranca la Transglobal World Music Chart (TWMC), una lista mensual de discos de músicas del mundo elaborada según criterios de calidad por especialistas de todo el mundo, unos 40 actualmente, entre los que se encuentra el equipo de Mundofonías como miembros fundadores. El objetivo es acercar las producciones de los artistas de todo el mundo a los críticos, periodistas, escritores y presentadores de programas relacionados con las músicas del mundo para que estos seleccionen las mejores y también las ofrezcan a sus públicos y audiencias, superando las barreras económicas y geográficas.

From this month on the Transglobal World Music Chart (TWMC) starts its activity: a monthly world music albums’ chart, dessignated according to quality by specialists from all over the world, about 40 currently, among whom is Mundofonías’ team as founder members. The goal is to bring the artists from all over the world’s productions closer to the world music critics, journalists, writers and DJs, so they can select the better ones and offer them to their audiences surmounting economic and geographical barriers.

Repasamos música , recuerdos, palabras, sensaciones traídas del festival Globaltica, celebrado el pasado julio en Gdynia, Polonia. También entrevistas allí realizadas con los responsables del proyecto Malikanw y el Festival au Désert en el exilio, dado que no puede celebrarse por la violencia en el norte de Mali; con Aziz Sahmaoui y con el grupo Shira U’Tfila.

Reviewing music, remembrances, words, feelings that we brought from Globaltica festival, held in the month of July in Gdynia, Poland. And also some interviews we did there: with the responsibles for the Malikanw project and Festival au Désert in exile, as it cannot be held due to the violence situation in the North of Mali; with Aziz Sahmaoui and with the band Shira U’Tfila.
