Comenzamos con el homenaje al recién fallecido músico ugandés Geoffrey Oryema, para continuar con un clásico reeditado a cargo de Afro Cuban All Stars y de otro clásico, que debería ser también reeditado, de la Orquesta Baobab. Seguimos por territorios del folk europeo y canadiense, incluyendo al dúo francosueco Vingefang, que nos trae también algún aire brasileño que conecta con la última pieza a cargo de una banda poliédrica y activista: los texanos Free Radicals.

We start with a tribute to the lately deceased Ugandan musician Geoffrey Oryema, to continue with a reissued classical recording by Afro Cuban All Stars and another one that should be also reissued, by Orchestra Baobab. We continue through European and Canadian folk musical territories, including the French-Swedish duo called Vingefang, that also brings some Brazilian influences that connect with the last track played today, by the Texan multifaceted and activist band Free Radicals.

Esta edición de Mundofonías pasa por todos los climas del globo. Pasamos del trance entre las dunas de los desiertos del norte de África y Oriente Próximo a los sonidos tropicales de África occidental, Brasil y Cuba, para continuar con danzas nórdicas más abrigadas y «bluegrass» de las praderas norteamericanas.

This Mundofonías edition goes through all the Globe’s climates. We start in trance in the Northern Africa and Middle East desserts‘ dunes and then we reach the tropical sounds of Western Africa, Brazil and Cuba, to continue with cool Nordic dances and bluegrass from North American prairies.
