– Elegimos los tres discos favoritos del mes, que en esta ocasión son el proyecto Nishtiman, desde tierras kurdas, el regreso discográfico del gran soplador andaluz Javier Paxariño y el nuevo trabajo de klezmer divertido y creativo de los portugueses Melech Mechaya. Seguimos con la crónica del Babel Med de Marsella, escuchando la entrevista precisamente con Nishtiman y con la reunionesa Maya Kamaty, para quedarmos con más sones de la Isla de la Reunión.

– We choose the three favourite records of the month. In this ocassion, Nishtiman project, from Kurdish territories, the return of the great sax and flute Andalusian player Javier Paxariño and the new album full of funny and creative klezmer music by Portuguese band Melech Mechaya. We resume the Mareseille’s Babel Med’s chronicles, including interviews with Nishtiman and also Maya Kamaty from Reunion Island, and we stay there until the end of the show with more music from that island.

Este programa es una primera crónica del Babel Med Musique celebrado recientemente en Marsella y en él incluimos algunas interesantes entrevistas que allí realizamos con los finlandeses Sväng, el maliense Bassekou Kouyaté, la azerbaiyana Fargana Qasimova y el director artístico del evento, Sami Sadir.

This show is the first chronicle of the Babel Med Musique held recently in Marseile. We include some interesting interviews we did there with the Finnish band Sväng, the Malian Bassekou Kouyaté, the azeri singer Fargana Qasimova and Sami Sadir, artistic director of this meeting.

El resto del programa está dedicado a oír varios temas de la Rough Guide del blues africano que ahora se publica.

We begin listening several Iberian and Latin American bands and artists that wil be performing at EXIB Música, that will be held in Bilbao from 8th to 10th of May and of which Mundofonías is media partner. The rest of the program is dedicated to listen some tracks of the Rough Guide to African blues.

Abrimos en Castilla con lo nuevo de El Naán y seguimos por tierras portuguesas, latinoamericanas, balcánicas (recordando de nuevo la gira de la Fanfare Ciocărlia), para saltar después hasta Corea y luego a África, desde las tierras occidentales hasta las islas del Océano Índico.

We start the show in Castile, with El Naán’s new release. We continue in Portugal, Latin America, the Balkans (reminding the Fanfare Ciocărlia’s tour), and we juamp to Korea and, after that, to Africa, From the western lands to the islands of the India Ocean.
