Escuchamos la grabación inédita del espléndido grupo vocal Kalesma, desde Chipre, en su concierto del pasado mes de diciembre dentro del Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase, que tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar en el Teatro Rialto de Limasol. El propio Vassilis Philippou, impulsor del proyecto, nos habla del grupo y sus canciones, mientras escuchamos también músicas del proyecto Origins del guitarrista Odysseas Toumazou, quien también participó en dicho concierto, así como grabaciones anteriores del propio Vassilis Philippou. Seguimos en Chipre con el que es posiblemente el grupo que más ha dado que hablar internacionalmente en los últimos años, Monsieur Doumani, para terminar también en la isla mediterránea con Sophie Fetokaki y el Ensemble Lingua Franca.

We listen to a previously unreleased recording of the splendid vocal group Kalesma, from Cyprus, at their concert last December as part of the Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase, which we had the opportunity to enjoy at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol. Vassilis Philippou himself, the driving force behind the project, talks to us about the group and its songs, while we also listen to music from the Origins project by guitarist Odysseas Toumazou, who also participated in the concert, as well as previous recordings by Vassilis Philippou himself. We continue in Cyprus with Monsieur Doumani, possibly the group that has been the most talked-about internationally in recent years, and finish on this Mediterranean island with Sophie Fetokaki and the Ensemble Lingua Franca.
