Viajamos por todo el continente africano para encontrarnos con irresistibles músicas aparecidas en recientes producciones discográficas. Abrimos con fructíferos encuentros afroeuropeos: el del tañedor maliense de ngoni Baba Sissoko y el pianista francés Jean-Philippe Rykiel o el del trompetista alemán Volker Goetze, el intérprete de kora senegalés Ali Boulo Santo Cissoko y el guitarrista flamenco español Alejandro Moreno, con el proyecto FlamenKora. Continuamos con las nuevas composiciones de otro tocador senegalés de kora, Maher Cissoko; con las grabaciones históricas de L’Orchestre National Mauritanien; con la intrigante música de Al Bilali Soudan, desde Tombuctú, o con el también maliense Idrissa Soumaoro 📸. Nos trasladamos después al oriente del continente, con los aires etíopes de Mulugeta Bezaw y Ukandanz o con el malgache Bosco Rakoto, para terminar con la combinación del maloya de La Reunión con la rumba cubana del grupo Saroyé.

We travel all over the African continent to meet irresistible music featured in recent recordings. We open with fruitful Afro-European encounters: that of the Malian ngoni player Baba Sissoko and the French pianist Jean-Philippe Rykiel or that of the German trumpeter Volker Goetze, the Senegalese kora player Ali Boulo Santo Cissoko and the Spanish flamenco guitarist Alejandro Moreno, with the FlamenKora project. We continue with the new compositions of another Senegalese kora player, Maher Cissoko; with the historical recordings of L’Orchestre National Mauritanien; with the intriguing music of Al Bilali Soudan, from Timbuktu, or with the also Malian Idrissa Soumaoro 📸. We then moved to the east of the continent, with the Ethiopian airs of Mulugeta Bezaw and Ukandanz or with the Malagasy Bosco Rakoto, to finish with the combination of the Maloya of La Réunion with the Cuban rumba of the Saroyé group.
