La artista húngara Veronika Varga, después de darse a conocer en diversos e interesantes proyectos, lanza su primer álbum en solitario: “True picture” (‘Retrato auténtico’). Voz y contrabajo son sus instrumentos, en un disco de sonoridades griegas y magiares rebosante de emoción y belleza.

The Hungarian artist Veronika Varga, after becoming known through various interesting projects, releases her first solo album: “True Picture”. Voice and double bass are her instruments in an album of Greek and Magyar sonorities overflowing with emotion and beauty.

Seleccionamos un ramillete de nuevos discos recién llegado a nuestra redacción, que nos llevan por bellos sonidos, inesperados tratamientos y sones bailables. Viajamos primero por diversos parajes europeos, con sones húngaros con conexión griega, irlandeses, vascos, castellanos, flamencos, incluyendo un pasaje para Japón. Después, sones latinoamericanos nos llevan por Brasil, Norteamérica y Venezuela.

We select a bouquet of new albums freshly arrived in our editorial office, taking us through beautiful sounds, unexpected treatments and danceable rhythms. We first travel across various European landscapes with Hungarian sounds featuring a Greek connection, Irish, Basque, Castilian and flamenco sonorities, including a passage to Japan. Afterwards, Latin American rhythms guide us through Brazil, North America and Venezuela.

Journeying through the Europes

Ponemos sobre la mesa una buena colección de discos bien interesantes y recientitos que nos hacen viajar a través de diferentes expresiones, tratamientos y sensibilidades relacionadas con las raíces musicales de muy diversos lugares de Europa. Comenzamos en Francia, con músicas que nos llegan desde París, Lille, Auvernia o Bretaña, con conexión ecuatoriana incluida. Continuamos en Gran Bretaña, recorriendo Escocia, Gales e Inglaterra, para terminar con vibrante música llegada desde Hungría.

We lay out a fine collection of truly interesting and very fresh albums that take us traveling through different expressions, approaches and sensibilities connected to the musical roots of many diverse places in Europe. We begin in France, with music arriving from Paris, Lille, Auvergne and Brittany, including an Ecuadorian connection. We continue in Great Britain, moving through Scotland, Wales and England, and end with vibrant music coming from Hungary.
